Strange Weather
The weather's been particularly weird here recently...I'm home from school for the day. It's about 30 degrees Fahrenheit and we got a half an inch of snow last night. The one thing I love about North Carolina is that people just don't know how to drive with snow and ice. Any amount of snow here pretty much guarantees a school closing or delay. I used to live in a small town of about 23,000 in Connecticut. It always snowed there in the winter, and nothing less than six inches of snow would even delay the schools an hour or two. A few feet would close schools for a couple of days. I was wondering what the weather was like elsewhere throughout the country, or even the world. Is it weird over on the west coast too?

Yeah, the weather has been wierd here as well. I live in Northern California where it's usually pretty mild; supposedly it's supposed to snow about every 7 years, but I've lived here for 14 and haven't seen it happen once. But this year, it might happen. It has been really cold the last few weeks (around 28 Fahrenheit), it's the coldest it's ever been here (that I can remember). There was ice on the sidewalk when I walked to work on Monday - that's never happened before. I have a feeling that if it rains, it will snow. Although the skies have been really clear lately, even though it's freezing cold. I hope it snows, we'd be sure to get school out because it's never snowed here.

Re: Strange Weather
If that's a small town, everyone in my state lives in a microscopic town.RaVNzCRoFT wrote:I used to live in a small town of about 23,000 in Connecticut.
But it's been extremely cold lately, and a little snowy. Highs of about 10, lows of about -20. It got down to -33 with windchill one night.
There's probably 8 inches on the ground accumulated (we had 3 good snow sessions, and the snow never melted). But it's cool, because the snow plows came by and scraped all the snow into a 2.5 ft wall in the middle of the street which is slightly hilarious watching people in SUVs plow through them. Most of that snow is dispersed on the street again. Also, no snowdays, we had 1, but it was only because it was so incredibly cold with the wind, and the fog and snow made it almost impossible to see. Hopefully it will start warming up around the country soon.

I'm in new jersey and our dense cloud of pollution has kept snow out all year lol. Today it snowed maybe an inch or so.
There's 100 mile an hour winds in germany. several hurricanes over the past years. The ice caps are melting. China can knock down our satalites now with thier new space missle program. and Mrs. clinton plans to run for presedent!
What's next zombies!??!?
