i have no idea on how to do this!

how do i put doors in base maps?
for example i want to put doors on coagulation with switches that open and close them by pressing x
please help me this is driving me crazy



i've already asked here for it but the discussion is no more here so please give me the tutorial's link

This should help you, assuming you know how to add the switch and door of your choice to your map.

well the thing is i know nothing, i have no idea even on how to put machines and doors and switchers
could you give me the tutorial link?

First find a door you like from one of the SP.maps.
Open the SPmap in Entity click options then click recursive and parsed buttons.
Then save meta to a folder at a location of your choice.
Close the SPmap and open a map with a control you want, theres controls in zanzabar, containment, and dune.
Now again make sure recursive and parsed is checked, then save meta.
Now open the map you want to mod in Entity click parsed and recursive then click build, choose the mach door then do the same for the contol.

Now in the scenario you have to set the doors and controls to spawn.

Now you can use the bsp viewer to set the placements of the door and controls.
PS. you can have doors that open when you melea, shoot, or get close to them, instead of using the control to activate.

From here out you can follow the linking machs and controls tutorial.

Clicking Recursive and Parse has no effect on building in tags. But the "Sounds" box does. He will want to check the sounds box upon building in the tags otherwise his door will sound like a clicking battle rifle or a humming teleporter.
