Weather?

Alright, I feel like I've done everything to try to get weather on the map without weather, and I'm obviously missing one piece of the puzzle.
I transferred the weather tag through insolence.
I then created a Weather Palette chunk in scenario.
I used then Insolence to link it in SCNR.
Then I used Xbox7887's BlueGuerilla plugin to check that everything was right.
BUT, I still need to get chunks added to SBSP for Weather Palette and Weather Polyhedral for it to work, but the add chunks program won't let me add those to any map.
Any ideas?

yeah you cant add chunks to the sbsp using glitchies chunk adder

you'll have to do it manually

i kno for a fact i have "correctly" added weather to a map without it, the one problem is that it seems like the bsp meta needs to be internalized and in order to do that you need to basically rebuild the bsp. one thing i didnt try would be to extend the bsp meta and add the stuff to the end, overlapping whatever tag comes after, but i highly doubt that will work. if u want i can give u the patch i made for dune, everythings injected fine but its all externalized and u wont be able to open it up in insolence either.

hmm so your program rebuilds the bsp or just byteshifts everything? also how do u plan on reinjecting it back into the map, the easiest way would be to inject it over the old one and then theres lots of fixing to be done. i expect a map from u which will put weather in dune

oi xbox with your adding weather...i would think that it would be very wonkipated (its a word you just need to think that) coz like for example, lockout, it has set points for where the weather can atually go to and where not to (indoors and out doors). What im saying is that weather seems to have it pre-done and yeah is it wonkipated? and whats thie "dune" you speak of?

well actaully it byteshifts but now that i look at it it seems like rebuilding is the proper way so i will redo it to do that. Thanks- Nate

remember when rebuilding the bsp you will also need to go into the [scnr] tag and update the bsp size under the bsp reflexive...if u dont do that it will most likely not recognize the added meta

So if i understand correctly, adding weather to a map that doesn't have it will not work. Unless you have a super-human understanding of the bsp.
And nateh90, does your program put weather, like snow everywhere, including inside buildings, etc. or does it act realistically?

Who cares. If he can get it in there and working then we,him, or some 1337 modder can probably fix it.
