Injecting longsword into any mp is hard. Such a pain...

Does anyone have the paracetamol for it? :lol: ...ignore that

Morning. Basically i followed three different tut's on sp>mp model injections and every one basically goes through [mode]meta extraction and injection, then linking, [bitm]meta injections, linking ...blah blah.

Basically, halo freezes when the viewpoint looks towards the injected model (you can't see it because it freezes before it can get to it properly). This has happened on every single attempt.

I've read about script references, and in h2x...does this correspond to the items button...as when clicked...i think these are the scripts.
i.e for the longsword the first 'item' is:
913 - longsword - 0

what is the above's format? ...anyway... i replaced that one with default (as i looked into the 'tems' of a warthog and compared) since there were no matches in the dropdown box below.

eventually things like:
8E5 - hull - BC
were replaced with:
EA6 - hull - CC

SO! Am I going about this in the right general direction...or ruining everything? I got confused as I read that the map needed to be rebuilt/compiled with ADI or h2x, but the tuts don't show it.
Is there a hex alternative? (Ah there always is :D)

Any help will be greatly appreciated....

I think your problem is probably shaders, just swap its dependencies. Plus sometimes people just plain dont inject the model right.

i dont know whats up witht ht elongsword modle either i have tried to inject it myself so i figure we need a rebuilder

Nope, the shaders are all linked correctly...i injected them ok.

Like i said, i wonder if it is those 'items'...

dont inject shaders onyl h2x can inject them and they dont always work try dif shaders and run the lod fixer

you know the lod fixer...what do i check off?
just the model and bitmaps ones?

...also...you serious about only h2x being able to inject shaders...

Right, I have concluded that this, is failing.
Can I just ask if i should be map compiling or injecting...
Also, Are those things actually Script References??

finally, basically there was more to inject (hlmt, coll, jmad etc) and when replacing existing htlmts on vehicles, the model would appear!

Thanks for everyone's contributions anyway.
(watch out for darkshade's mod too :wink: )
