this time i really made a s..t!

Post by wantomod »

well i transferred via ftp halo 2 with only a map on a partition of my xbox hd!(in the E partition where there were cache datas i think)
it is 800 mb!
xbox media center doesn't load and with it even copied games, only appears x and under xbox and under microsoft then if there's a copied game it doesn't start, with an original it starts! !
what should i do?
i don't want to make it repair because soon i'll buy xbox 360(till a year!) so can you explain me if there is a way to fix the problem? (maybe my hard disk is too little: it's the normal one i don't know how much big it is!
i would be happy if you could help me!
i don't want to stay an year without playing videogames!
my brother kills me!

Yeah, I can't understand, but let me try.

You put Halo 2 in your E drive with all the files, but only 1 map. It took 800mb of space. Now XBMC doesn't load. Your bios can't find a dashboard, so the White Microsoft text doesn't appear when you play a copied disc, but it loads when you play a normal disc.

So, is that what you're saying?

And, did everything work before you FTPed Halo 2?

well, if there's an original game in the reader the game starts!
if the reader is empty or there is a copied game in it, it ends there!
it stay blocked in the green x logo!

Please, make an effort to use real grammar. It really helps me.

Are you softmodded, chipped, or what? How do you normally acces your modded dash? Did you replace your harddrive? Do you need to know where to get an Auto Intaller Deluxe disc to prep a harddrive foranything you want to do? And why don't you put games on the HD instead of copying the disc.

Oh, and it seems like you deleted your xboxdash.xbe, just PM me if you want to re set up your drive and need the ISO to make the disc.

You can get an ISO file of the Evox dashboard which auto-installs,
you just boot the xbox with the burned cd a menu loads and you install your evox, however, are you using a modchip or a softmod?

If you are using a softmod do not do this, if you have a modchip then go ahead:

I though i was trying to help Wantomod, not you, but anyway it looks like he is using a softmod as he copied stuff on E drive, maybe he removed files such as bios loader and dash if it was a softmod it would probably be installed on E.

But i am gonna wait you reply about it before giving another solution.

You were. I was just commenting on how AID worked for me, but nothing else did, if that could be of any help to me.

Oh ok sorry i didn't know you had that problem too, well if you have a modchip you can do this.

Prepare your Evox CD(look at the tutorial), configure the evox.ini to setup ftp ( xbox ip, subnetmask and gateway), so it boots on evox dashboard with the CD then you just FTP the XBMC dashboard to C:\.

You will probably need to rename the XBMC.xbe to whatever you bios loads, generaly it loads xboxdash.xbe or evoxdash.xbe from C:\ as default dashboard, that depends of your bios.

does the cd format the hard disk automatically?

You need to get the evox dashboard, then edit the evox.ini file to setup ftp (ip subnet mask etc) then put it in an ISO for xbox CD then burn it.

Boot from the CD on your xbox, just put the cd when starting xbox then the evox dashboard should show up, then you can FTP and so then you put xbmc on C:\

This tutorial explain what you need to know about what i just said:
