RRX LLX BXR BXB

Post by bumlove »

these little glitches good or bad? my opinion is that bungie put these in for the hardcore gamers element too bad macro pads are around
RRX good because I can just about do them and it does require a bit of skill I go for RRX YY then R and R the last 2 rs being aimed at the head
LLX I can't do but again I like the idea
BXR I hate well not hate I just keep getting caught off guard with this one,
BXB don't be stupid you try BXB me and I'll stick you (L)

please bear in mind I am a xbc player not live, rankings mean nothing to me kills mean everything

as for super jumpers, I never figure them out and the more I play the more useless they seem but I still ban anyone who does them (jealous yes, if you want to superjump find a glitch server (people really do still host glitch servers)
never underestimate the predictability of stupidity

I think they're stupid, and no, Bungie does not 'put them in', they're just little glitches that people figure out.

I agree, but I use BXR and BXB sometimes, especially when other people do.

They're exploited glitches and to me are a form of cheating, god bless Halo 3 taking out these glitches. I'm not what you would call a "hardcore" gamer, but I think that "hardcore" gamers shouldn't use these, its cheap and doesn't require the skill that you would normally use without these glitches. :?

Well, Bungie has either made little to no effort on fixing these glitches in Halo 2 (be it by update or on the Vista version), or has run into trouble with fixing them. In fact, on Halo 2 Vista, it is actually easier to do an RRX with the BR55 Battle Rifle using the Xbox 360 wireless controller (with the PC wireless receiver, of course).

Not to be rude or offensive, but if you consider yourself anywhere close to professional, and you use these exploits, you're a fool. Being able to exploit a glitch shows nothing but lack of capability to legitimately complete a task. I consider this no less than cheating.

I'm not trying to flame at all... please don't be offended by my post.

Anyway, what I was getting at was that these glitches kinda ruin a lot of the fun... it's a "Wow, he just tapped his finger super-fast and made a burst-fire weapon fully automatic..." That's realism for you.

I think they're horrible. I do hope that Bungie has prevented most of these glitches in Halo 3's final release, although I do not doubt that a group of lifeless MLG players will stay up for days doing whatever it takes to find Halo 3's glitch combos.
(Sorry bastards.)

lol ya i doubt they will, the pros picked it up because well everyone started doing it, but in mlg you don't really have time to do it at all its mostly having to aim your br strait and true. the people who do get a bxr in mlg are just lucky.

I used to be big into bouncing, but would always ask before a match whether I should use these exploits or not. It is courtesy. Some people are cool with glitches, but personally weapon glitches that allow you to outperform another player is just really annoying.

So all in all most people who respond don't like them, some use them if used against themselves I myself stick to the belief that they where put in there on purpose (why have a cancel function? (X))(super jumping why always on a crack on the floor?)
I've had people say "it's cheating, if it isn't in the manual it isn't part of the game" to which I respond "what about crouch jumping? or holding 3 of the same dual wield?"
And as for "lack of capability to legitimately complete a task" I feel if it is within the boundary's of the game and the information is widely known I feel it is legitimate, after all it's just a matter of practice (so I should go easy on super bouncers) (but I won't) and as for it not being as skillful the action maybe I agree, but using the judgment when to use it makes it near even,
with the rise of macro pads I hope H3 has no glitches but I still think they were put in on purpose,so I hope the glitches are different for every weapon and every map or maybe even switchable on or off (unlikely)

Are you honest to god kidding me? CANCEL function? I'm sorry, to clear it up, nowhere on the internet nor this green earth does it say X is a cancel button. It's reload buddy.

The superbouncing isn't always a crack on the floor. You must not pay enough attention to superbouncing. Like stated above, it was NOT intentionally put into the game. Why do you think Bungie tried to put a stop to the weapon combo's? Because it was not meant to be used at all, ever.

Superbouncing and weapon glitches WERE NOT put into the game on purpose. It's a proven and stated fact.

I myself find it to be a cheat as well. Just like superbouncing, it's unattainable to some people and again, wasn't made on purpose.

*Waits for DrXThirst to come in here and defend it.*

agreed, definition of a super bounce, when you hit the gound where textures meet at just the right angle to make you go flying. not meant to be there. definition of a glitch is basically something that happens thats not supposed too, i guarantee you its in the dictionary. as for double shoot ect, its an unfair advantage because well basically its exploiting the glitch in the game, and can be but usually isn't attainable by all players.

Ha >_> I LOOOOOVE how you seem to think superbouncing has ANYTHING to do with the textures :p

Its interesting though. I spent more time glitching with friends on XBC, then playing actual matches with people. Glitching (fun style) was what kept me interested in halo 2 until I came to modding it :p

In Halo 2 Modding Map Superbounces YOU! Sorry bad joke :')

Weapon glitches, except to the extent that they be used in the 'fun' style (aka: sword cancelling, butterfly, nade jumping (NOT GLITCH), etc), are evil.

Now take a second and reread that horrible sentence :p

Superbouncing IS a skill but is also... it's also a privilege. its like being in a guild. You can usually openly practise your skills among the 'guild', but to the 'commoners' you should hide your secret prowess, and beat them on THEIR terms! Never disrespect a Host of a game, always follow their instructions. If a host says no glitches or bouncing then you do that! If they glitch, but still say you cannot... this becomes an issue of style :p You can break the host etiquette and glitch back, or you can pwn them sorry using pure skill at the core game. If you do not like them then you have the choice to leave.

1 golden rule of mine. You mod a map to gain any advantage over another player and you are dirt, scum, filth.

well its known that superbounces occur where the textures meet, on xbl if you go into main menu come out u get the all pixelated version of the map and you can see where all the textures are, and almost 100% of the time a superbounce is where the texture meets another texture.

i like your golden rule jackson, and sry i know i suck at grammar.

wait what... super bounce not intentional.. are u kidding me... that is not a glitch... they are put in specific places and bounce u high up onto set surfaces you cant normally get on.... To say that they are random glitches is just foolish... that would be an insanely large coincidence... BXR etc is cheating in my opinion, no ifs ands or buts. These were not put there on purpose.
Don't be.

super bounces are glitches because they are in every map and you can do them on almost every spot where the collision joins together. I don't think having you randomly shoot up into the air on midship, beaver creek, and elongation won't give you any advantage. I hate banners who ban for reasons like that, but I really hate people who ban because you joined the game.

as for the bxr, rrx, rryyrryyrr...ect. its not cheating if you can do it because it shows you practice at it and tried to get better and find a way to beat your opponent. Besides, if you get rrx'd than it means you were standing still and they had an easy hit. I rarely do them but when I get the chance to I do, like when I turn a corner and someone is in my face "BXR." got you.

By the way, true cheating is hacking to your advantage and banning because someone beat you and you can't admit you lost. wimps!

Congratulations! You're ignorant. Wrong.

As for BXR, no one cares anymore.
