this DCMA has proven it wrong again and again. read it and maybe ull understand.


heres the layout of the illegality.

Modding the xbox isnt illegal. but most modding utilities circumvent copy protection which makes 99% of them illegal. the other 1% is as well illegal because ALL OF THEM USE MODDED DASHBOARDS. the dashboards are illegal under 2 terms. theyre illgaly made with the XDK. and they circumvent acces controll which violates the DCMA.

"What about Mod Chips" ILLEGAL. they as well circumvent copy protection "by allowing unsigned code" and most people use modded dashboards with them.

Modding the game is as well illegal. you are circumventing acess control by using the game as it was not planned to be used this way. and the only way to do this is to mod an xbox which has already been explained. also read the updated xbox terms and conditions.. they say no modification or reverse enginering of microsoft certified games.

so really.. STOP the argument war. nothing else needs to be posted. its illegal and thats it. no matter what people say or if your really that ingnorant to even say something. its illegal..

it is illegal to open your xbox... it is not illegal to soft mod it because you dont not open it, flashing your bios is illegal. making a copy of halo 2 is illegal unless you own a copy of the game. and it is not illegal to mod halo maps because you bought the game, and the new maps are now free but you have to dl them from xbox live first otherwise it is illegal.
and its illegal to change your firmware.

Your very stupid, A softmod like Ndure or UXE have files built with XDK that makes it ILEGALL
