problem with gmax

problem with gmax

every time I try to add a name to a material in gmax, it crashes and closes instantly. So I wanted to reinstall gmax but I cant find a way to get it off in the first place. Gmax is no longer in the list for add/remove programs. What can I do to fix the problem?

EDIT: I redownloaded the installer with it still installed and it seems to have done the trick
