Model question..

I haven't modeled very much, and I was wondering if those off-colored triangles (protruding from the top left corner of the wall) would cause me any problems when I build this BSP? Or is it just fine? I've got them before but I've never really known if they were good or bad.

Rendering issue. Or the wall isn't perfectly straight. No issues in tool.

Alright, thank you. Made me a bit anxious due to the fact that they're popping up in other areas as well.

Not that I am an expert (by far), but I have found turning off smoothing groups will make some of the bad looking triangles go away.

I'll keep that in mind.
It doesn't bother me so much if it doesn't cause a problem.

Entirely incorrect in this case.
To the contrary you can use smoothing to hide them.
You can do 1 of 2 things to get hide/get rid of those triangles.
a) Smooth them together so you can not see the error
b) or actually fix them by moving the verticies of that face to the same X, or Y coordinates, depending on the alignment of your model.

Non-planar. Tool doesn't care, but it will look bad ingame.

That's what I was afraid of.. I'll mess with it a bit.

Just do what I said and you should have no problems fixing it

That's what I meant by 'mess with it'

Also, just for you to know, these are cause by polygons that aren't completely flat. Every polygon, not matter how many sides is made up with triangles. When you make a polygon not flat, its becomes non-planar. You can see the individual triangles because that vertex of the triangle was moved.

Oh, I see. Thank you.
