I have read alot of topics on different site forums about that people need to stop playing the leaked version of zanzibar for the final version to come out. The thing is on every one i read no one says why the people that make the servers have to shut em down? I mean if they release the final version then people will start playing that one instead of the leaked one.
I dont want this topic to become an argument. Its just a simple question that i would like to know the answer to.

My opinion is, if nitrous is holding it back because of the leak, he's a dick. There's no reason to hold it back. The map was leaked. Get over it.

Unless he's holding it because he's adding in some crazy cool stuff. That'd be awesome.

And this thing with Yomama crashing servers playing the map is insane. You're basically cheating.

You make a valid point:

If you are holding it back because it was leaked. People will play the leak. When the full version comes out, the leak will not be played anymore period.

Zanzibar is out now. It's just that everyone assumed that the downloadable versions were leaks, nobody ever heard of it here. They've already released zanzibar 1.3.

zanzabar isnt comming out in time for anything. at the rate the team is going and the fact that theyv started yet another halo 2 map project there's not going to be a zanzibar anymore. if it is comming out it will be longe after halo 2 or too late to make a diferance.

Guys, Zanzibar isn't being held back by all the leaks, just so you know.

Nitrousoxide himself even said that the leaks will not stop the map team. The delays have not been caused by the leak at all, but rather new developments in the map.

Recently, Kornman (a_hobo) has found ways to make Dual Wielding and Vehicle hijacking/boarding possible on the map, with the use of scripts (Which sure seem to be his specialty! ). That, and the discovery of bugs in every single beta release of the map, is what has pushed back the release of Zanzibar.

Now, yes, its true, if the final release of Zanzibar was to come out today, people would no longer play the leak. However, you've got to realize, that the current build of Zanzibar isn't much better than the last. Its still buggy as heck! From what I've heard, its laggy as crap, too. No one wants to play on a laggy map, now, do they? No, of course not. Nitro and the rest of the map team are working on the map to ensure that it is as playable as physically possible when it is released. Imagine it 10x worse than NMC. Thats a nightmare right there. NMC was pretty bad FPS-wise. Imagine Zanzibar in a buggy state. NOT FUN!

So, yea, please, just hold tight for now. Don't play the leak, all you're doing is supporting leakers in general. The leaked copies of Halo 2... not cool. Don't support leaks, guys. Be honest, and shut down any servers you may be running of leaked maps.

And no leaked Zanzibar links.

Just to let you all know, i didnt post this map to support leaks, and yes i have played the zanzibar leak as i am sure alot of you have to check it out, but i dont play it anymore because of all the things that people have been talking about and i dont want to get intangled with all the stuff. And plus i have been getting alot of these exception things but w/e. Just wanted to let you all know i dont support leakers i just wanted to shed my opinion about this issue.

I have. Still a bug with all the exeptions and the ghost boost.

the reason why iit has not been realsed yet they foud out ways to vecihle hijack and other halo 2 stuff so stop with thes topics
