how do u open the console?

in ur halo custom edition short cut right click then hit properties,
then in the window that comes up u should see the word target and in the field it should say something like this

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition\halo.exe" now at the end of it u put in -console so now it should look like this
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition\halo.exe" -console

now be carefull that the -console is outisde the quotes

then when in game hit the ~ button and it opens

and you press tab to get a command list, adn if you type in a letter and then prett tab it will list all commands that start with that letter.

it can also be used in CE's devmode to test the map.

I tried it and a popup said this:

The name "D:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition\haloce.exe"-console specified in the Target box is not valid. Make sure the path and file name are correct.

What did i do wrong ?

theres a space between \haloce.exe" and -console

it excepted it! thank you! i'll test it later but for now i've got to finish my damn homework

what do you type to kick and ban people? Do you have to hold down the keys when doing it?

sv_players
then a number will appear besides each players name.

dont forget about hte important "sv_tk_ban ###"

type that to make the number of tk's to be banned 999 instead of 4 (if you want complete control)

or the other command where you can take people off the ban list..in case a friend gets banned


Here is how the ban works (if you wanna know)

Banned Once --------------One Minute
Banned Twice -------------One Day
Banned Three Times -----One Week
Banned Four Times -------Forever

its not working when i'm in game. what am i doing wrong? ok lets start off like this. I playing a game and theres a guy being really shitty to everybody and he lags to much. what do i do? do i pause the game and type all of it in? do i hit the "T" key to tell type in it? what do i do?

u press teh ~ key [right above tab] then type in sv_players and for this say the guys number is uhhhhh 5. then u type in sv_ban 5 or sv_kick 5. ez.

You can't use any "SV" console commands unless you know the rcon password for the server you are playng on or are running a listen server from your own computer.

Note on the side

After banning someone.Go to your documents where Halo gamesaves are stored.View the ban list.It has thier Halo cd key,and should have ip.

Dont use this for anything but good.Dont post the keys online

You just have to press "~", and then the text box will appear. Use the commands from there. "~" to get back out.
