To many tags to handel

Last night i was quiet bord so i decided to look through the tags. After going through a few allready modded things i ran across some tags that just made my jaw drop when i thought of the possibilitys.( you can give mc a seat for some one to sit in)There are color changing effects, adding contrails to every thing, seats, friction, impact and tons more. Im going to start work on list of basic vehical tags.

yeah i know i saw those there are even options for mc such as making him run around flaming or exploding after death! but for some reason when i x out of the tag and it says do you wish to save this tag and i click ok it doesnt work

I have a theroy, but of course my hek is all messed up so i can't test it, but, if you compile more say weapon tags into a level, and refrence everything properly, it looks like from the way it is coded there is no limit to the number of diffrent weapons, so long as each has its own weapon_collections directory, and that weapon is put into the map using sapiean, and all the refrences (which i haven't found all of) are done properly.

Vehicles are no doubt the same way, though you probablly couldn't have more than 6 ( Turret, banshee,tank, ghost, hog ,rwhog) vehicles becuase you must set the totals in the create game options .... but what if you default the number of vehicles, then design the map with say 8 complete sets of vehicle tags in the defualt map .... does this work?

Just therozing ..... a i assume that i'm understanding this right.

How do you know it doesn't work??
cause if you just tried playing halo ce to see if it work then of course its not goin to cause your just changing some loose tags that you use to compile a map. So technically the only way to test this would be to compile a new map.

No i know what blink means. Blink all you have to do is save the tag where gurilla tells you to. You cant pick your own destination.

yeah you have to save tags somewhere in the tags folder, or else guerilla wont open or save them. and there are too many tags, but i want more like pelican wraith and the covenant dropship, though i've only seen work on the covenant dropship and it looks amazing. people need to start putting out more of their own tags like new bipeds guns and vehicles.

actually idk where to get it, but there is a program that allows u to customize the game type with any score/total u want...so u cud have 66 score CTF and, in theory, add different vehicles

sorry buddy, but your theory doesnt work. Halo is hard-coded to only support 6 vehicles, and so many weapons. people have talked about editing globals.globals, where the weapons and vehicles are listed, but you cant add on to it, it just wont work. you can replace other vehicles or weapons with your own, but cant have more than the max number.

...What's your proof that it only supports six vehicles?
I don't doubt that it's right- there are definitely things to support it, but have people tried to add additional weapons or vehicles into a map?
Even if it is hardcoded, I wouldn't think it's too hard for the brighter minds in the community to re-code it; after all, they needed to recode the game from Xbox to PC in order to add the banshee and rocket hog to multiplayer, no?

if you could just gonna go re-code halo................you might as well just go make your own game

besides...how would you distribute your "special edition" halo?

Not true, I got a map with a drivable covie dropship, banshee, ghost (those 2 explode), warthog, rwarthog ,AND scopion.

Yeah, but can you get 4 of each kind in there at once?

You could just make MC drop a live grenade when he dies.
