How do i use a mod

yeah i downloaded a mod but now how do i use it? i changed the mods name to bloodgulch.map and replaced it with the other bloodgulch.map file already in the halo folder but it keeps saying it's corrupt there are these two files
am i supposed to change their names or smth? thanks.

Download PPF-O-Matic.
.ppfs are patch files that contain only the differences between an unmodded map and the modded map used to create it. PPF-O-Matic will let you apply the patch to the .map file.

sweet thanks i'll try it out
well i did what u told me and it didn't work i put bloodgulch.map as the iso file and the mod as the patch and it wouldn't work i got a gather information exception error and then it closed..

then you are probably using the bitmaps ppf instead of the bloodgulch ppf

yeah, i prefer using this program than integrates .ppf's n2 ur shell, so u right click a .ppf and hit apply ppf. Plus u can create .ppf's w/ it , heres a link, btw also hhht is good 4 xbox and pc modding.
