Time of Day

Post by hud15987 »

Hey y'all!

I've been tinkering with my timberland for a while now, and I was wondering if it was possible to change the time of day to night or late evening? Say like on the campaign map "Truth and Reconciliation" with that sky and darkness sorta thing.

PMI (Perfect Model Injection, wasn't it? Dunno) is basically rebuilding a map with additional items in it, such as skies, guns, AI, vehicles, scenery, etc.
Here is a tutorial:

you can make your own sky based off it.
or do this: go into the bitmaps tag in HMT and copy the meta of stars and paste it over that of the sky. Then to darken the bsp go into HHT and go to the sbsp tag and null out the bitm dependency

or swap the sky in the bsp tag instead of doing meta offset swapping which can put holes in ur map

What if you just wanted to make the canyon walls pitch black? to do this, go to levels/test/(your level)/(your level) and null out the bitmap dependencies. I have a topic listed in the modding discussion on what nulling out each one does for bloodgulch.

Loll you see a moon because that particular satellite is orbiting threshold, not halo. Technically, saying the moon is wrong, because it is the name given to the rock orbiting earth. The sun is the name of our star too. Just to avoid misinterpreting stuff:

Sun: Star
the moon: a moon(s)/natural satellite

Sorry if it was rude to you, but it is incorrect saying sun referring to a star that is not of our solar system.
