Wraith question

Here's little thing i have noticed when one PMI"s a wraith into a map. I haven't made it indistructable as yet. Anyways, when inside it took 4 plasma nades to destroy the Wrsith in my team's side but I m unable to destroy the Wraith on the other side of the field. I threw 30 plasma nades, a few frags and a lot of tank rounds at it.
