you sure?i got it and then i had to reformat my brand new computer
but my sister rapidly pressed the power button on my comp so it might've been that

it was your sister
keep her away from your computer at all times so you wont have that happen again. reformating can be the one thing from leaving you with or without a computer. and i know from experience.

Anything you download from halomods or modtacular or halofiles is virus free!

then use
linux
or
mac, they have less viruses then windows and less chance of getting one.
You are either some strange kind of hypocondriac, or your a spammer.

You are so paranoid. HaloMaps.org does not have a virus, let alone the other 50 something Halo CE sites. You can not just "get" a virus. You have to at least be viewing a jpg or have downloaded a malicious program. Get Norton Security System 2007.
And the thing about notepad, I think your computer just has a slow CPU and not enough MB's of RAM.

slow CPU?i have a 3.2 ghz processor with 512mb of ram!it closed when i ended the process last night though
also what about music?i heard that it can't have a virus.is this true because i download music from morpheus all the time!and i have mcafee security center with everything updated and installed.im just scared because this isn't my computer and this thing has got a virus before.and im not a spammer

Use. Spaces. Between. Sentences.
Also use proper grammer and sentences. Your posts are just like gigantic run-on sentences.
To answer your question, music can have a virus if you get it from Ares/Limewire/Morpheous or any other free music downloader. (I don't use them, but friends of mine have and got viruses).
Also, not a good thing to say to the public you use a program to get music illegaly.

I am sorry, but 512 MB of ram will slow you down. Alot.
MP3 files can have a hidden keylogger in them, but hardly ever because those files are extremely hard to hide in a media file.

Well, i'm sorry. I didn't have enough time to write it correctly. Actually I don't download off Morpheus. My sister does. I am gonna go tell her you could get viruses off of it. She was the one who wanted me to ask you guys. Sorry for not using correct english.

Why will 512mb of RAM slow me down alot? I thought I had a good computer when I saw this had 512mb of RAM and I couldn't find anything better.

In short: You won't get viruses from trusted sites, such as the ones listed in this thread. If you get a virus, you can be assured it was not from something on Halomods.
