im tryin to make the fuel rod cannon a plasma nade launcher. what the projectile is set to is shown below. i want it to arc thru the air just like when you throw it them when it lands explode aftera second. what happens is it arcs thru the air like i want but it sticks to an invisible barrier in mid air or explodes in mid air one second after being fired. can anyone here help me?
explosion delay one and to are set to "1"
life span is set to "10"
weight/arc is set to "1"
initial speed is set to "0.8"
final speed is set to "0"
homing turning is set to "0"

ur life span is WAY to short and the final speed needs to b the same or faster than the initial speed

Hmmm...on the subject of shooting grenades, can you make the actual projectile into the grenade (easily, with HMT3)?
My 100th post! Happy Jackalhood to me!

The problem is your life span is to short and the final speed is 0, meaning it will stop.
explosion delay one and to are set to 1
life span is set to 75-100
weight/arc is set to 1
initial speed is set to 0.8
final speed is set to 0.6-0.8
Try using that set up and see what happens.

ok the life span thing helped alot, but i want the final speed to stay at zero. the reason is when i change the final speed to somethin besides zero the nades bounce off the ground like rubber. but when teh final speed is zero, the nades stop in midair. wtf is up with that?

think about it, if your speed is zero, it means your goin nowhere...

nades bounce, nevermind the collision part, noticed there are no collision models for grenades...
and ya, set the final sped to 0 and you end up with a nade going 0mph as in going absolutely no where at all.

gyus thats the final speed. the final speed applys to when it hits the ground, not when you shoot it. thats why there are two different speeds. DUH

no, the final speed is the speed after the initial speed, the initial speed is when you are throwing the nade (or shooting it) and the final speed is the speed it hits the target...DUH

no, the grenade just falls to the ground, u need oto change everything around, just try swaping the projectiles on the garthog chaingus with plasma granades and u will see what i mean...

Yea, you can do that, but you'll have to make it have a speed and change the arc. But it's easy, I've made movies of it...=)
I'll put a movie up, one second.
