New Mods coming out soon-SNEAK PREVIEWS!

Look out for some new mods from me, but not too soon, I still don't have the .net framework, my net is soooooo slow it'll take a week to load (don't even go there) and just as proof it's never faster than 45.3 and at the time of writing, it's at 38.2. Ok no more sidetracks. I'm thinking of doing some *alterations* ( :twisted: ) to our fav MP map, Blood Gulch, for starters. (I've never made a mod before, I'm only new to this scene.)

Later I'll try some conversions, maybe as I get better a Maw conversion (whole ship, yes) possibly with some Flood (?), I dunno it's early days yet. Just forewarning you.

You can't have the whole Maw ship.
The ship has loading points, which can't exist in MP.
You talk as if it's very easy, but it's not.

If you aren't going to even post any ideas for your mods, why even put the poll? Telling us what map you WANT to mod doesn't really tell anything about the mod.

Put the flood in a MP conversion of the Maw....for multiplayer Mp=no. Personal Lan game=maybe.

Ok, Ok, calm down, I've decided on a few ideas:
-Troop Transport Hog- Gun removed, back raised to form shelter
-Hooded Ghost, renamed Spectre, adjusted weaps
-Maybe a human plane

And if I talk about this like it's all too easy, correct me, I dunno how difficult it may be...

first of all, you cannot rename the ghost spectre,because u need something with the same or less # of letters, and second of all, if you just stretched the model of the hog, they would fall rite thru, so you would need to stretch the coll. model (very hard to get exact placement), maybe into a box around the back, with a hole in the top, and doing so, would kill everyone inside when you drive, unless friendly fire is off (and thats no fun :wink: ) and besides that, i dont think you'll get very far, because if you're trying a conversion, then you'll soon realize that its no walk in the park, in fact, you'd probably have to make your own ver. of HMT like mono and aztec and all them have

Ok....I can rename Ghost to Spook, and BTW I meant a human attack plane, which the Pelican isn't, it's a dropship.

I might also look at reskinning before anything else, I need some serious help with MilkShape.....

If this needs to be moved, fine, move it!

How, I got a mod with a stretched Hog, and it works fine?

And instead of telling me how hard it is to do all this crap, why not tell me HOW I can do it? That would actually be helpful......

Ok, I have now made my first mod. YAY! Boulder Gulch. More weapon spawns, Shade turrets, more vehicles, and lots of rocks (hence the name). One problem with the Spook though....I CAN'T GET MILKSHAPE TO IMPORT THE GHOST WAVEFRONT! It just freezes! Any tips on why it does this or how I use MilkShape (remember, this is the first time I've ever modded)?
Also, are there any easier to use 3d programs which can edit Halo's models?

BTW I'll post pics and file (BG) as soon as I get on the net from my home computer....I'm using the schools' at the moment, much faster net....

Edit: Just so you know, the only reason I edited this was a spelling error (OH MY DEAR GOD NOT A SPELLING MISTAKE!).

When I tried to open the Scorpion, it didn't show. When I try to open anything else, it freezes. AND I'VE ONLY GOT 29 DAYS FROM TODAY TO MAKE THE SPOOK! This is on MilkShape 1.6.4, not registered, I'm not paying....

BTW Sorry I couldn't post those pics yet, I'm not allowed on the net during the week, dammit!

ARGGGHHH! Boulder Gulch's release has been postponed...and can anyone tell me why this happens:

I made Boulder Gulch in SE3.01. When I open it in SE, it shows all of my modifications. When I play it on Halo, more than half of the scenery (rocks, beacons, etc.) and several of the vehicles aren't showing. Same with Timberland. I put in a pair of Shades and a pair of Banshees. But they don't show. WHY?

Ok, ok fine. Not good. But if you read through the whole topic you'd know that I've been having problems with MilkShape....and, instead of being sarcastic, if you had the slightest semblence of some decency, you might actually tell me what's wrong!
