HME problem

alrite, i am having a problem extracting bitmaps from a map with hme, now, plz dont tell me to use sumthin else, cause i want hme, anway, i cant seem to decrompress the map into the bitmaps, and i knew how to before, and cant seem to remember, recompressing is fine, and yeah, i am using this for xbox, but im pretty sure it applies to both, ive searched here and haloskins.. and couldnt find anything that adresses my problem, anyone willing to help? thx

actually, i have mine to most of the way, then it runs into an error, so i am pretty sure what im doing, but then when i tell it to decompress, it gets past the header, and says "uncompress returned -3" and ive tried several different things, and thats all its says, if you had explained that you got that far, or if i just missed that then im sorry, but i believe you just how to extract bitmaps with hme...

halo map editor (and u dont sound like a tard, its a easy thing not to know) but the tool is run through cmd promt, so im guessing that u havent used it then?

it could be a bug with the garbage data... Iron_Forge editted the source to allow PC maps to be read, but in doing so, he seems to have broken HME's ability to recompress cache files, and extract items... I'm suspecting that something else is broken in HME, so I'll have to file a request to PfhorSlayer to look at the source and try to figure out wth is wrong with it.

i only have problems extracting things, and i have tried three different hme's the win hme, one on your site, and another one... i get the same problem with all of them, so my goess is that its just me, can you give me an example of an exact command i would use to extract stuff using hme? it doesnt matter where your directories are loacted, i'll just adapt to mine, or just see if mine are correct.. thx

well then, can anyone redirect me to a site that can help me? or show me what they put in as a command and it worked???
