explosive spawning projectiles

:idea: is there any way to make a projectile like a rocket to drop a bunch of grenades on impact? kind of like the flood carrier popping effect. glad to have any help :idea:

granades that expl;ode when the respawn... like timed mines... theyd be so fun... yet annoying

Then how would people get grenades? :wink:

I don't think anyone has been able to create a successful mine, but that would be a great addition.

uh u could only make 1type of grenade do it...

hey i kno how to..

in hmt meta swap unarmed frag for armmed frag and set the delay for like 4 it be so funny...

i would but i got halo taken away..again... :cry:

i meant something like a grenade that shoots out a bunch of needles when it explodes or a rocket that drops exploding frags on impact. kinda hard to explain

the carrier's drop the grenades because they are carrying them. we all know that you rop your grenades when you die. i have been asking the mine qhestion for a while. for some reason damage force and speed are all linked and get messed up when you change them. if i were to give something a huge forge but no damage, the force would be zilch. and when you put the speed of a projectile at 0, the damage trigger messes up and it doesnt go off. i tried making hovering mines by making the rocket have no weight or speed but when you walk into it, it goes right through you. lame. but if anyone can figure out that would be so sweet. i dunno about spawning grenades on impact. that might make a cool cluster bomb if you uses unarmed sp nades.

Setting the explode delay to 0 negates the explosion and the grenade never goes off. To make it explode on contact, set it to 0.001. As for creating a mine, there has to be some kind of proximity trigger to set it off. There's just nothing like that assosciated with any current weapon.

when a rocket hits you it explodes doesnt it? why doesnt it explode when it is floating in midair and you walk into it. i beleive it has to do with damage triggers but im not sure.

it has to do w/ the fact that the rocket isnt moving
it was talked about along time ago in a thread about floating mines

mines, i might do that instead, but i really wanted to do a clusterbomb-ish-projectile. maybe someone really good at this like mono-c can figure this out

I got an Idea on how to make mines. swap the model of the cyborg with a grenade using the model swapping plugin and then change the effects of stepping on grass to frag explosion. the only problem is that when u would start out u would explode lol.

ohh one more thing. its funny to change the effect of cyborg shield depletion to frag explosion. and then play online with someone who doesnt mod and let them kill you and watch them dye too. KAMIKAZI CYBORGS!

NM, this is PC, in xbox that would desync the game causing game restart. Sorry about the post age, but i wanted to search before i posted my other question

U should make it when u die the greandes that u have are on a timer and then explode that would be funny
