HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

Can someone tell me how to change the names that appear in the hud for seats in vehicles and weapons? I know this is sort of a n00bish question but I know people have done it and I don't know how.

ya gotta use a hex editor

Here is what ya do man.
Step 1: Open map in hex editor and hit Ctrl + F.
Step 2: Search the name of what ya wanna edit( in the thing below have "either" checked) hit whatever starts teh search
Step 3: in the thing beside the values there should be another thing with letters and numbers and what you searched for should be highlighted.
for example keep searching untill u get to .W.a.r.t.h.o.g.(just an example)
Step 4: Change the letters and save.

Note: The new name must be the same lenght as the old

Same length or just not longer?

Anyone know?

I was going to reply earlier but the connection froze.

Anyways it has to be the same length but you can put in spaces if you want a shorter name.
