Tell me, isn't this impossible?

I am a member of the TCLN ladder and a member of my clan was accused of speed hacking or something. They said he ran waay faster than anyone. Now tell me, wouldnt it be impossible for one person to go faster in a map if he was not hosting? And if he was hosting, wouldn't everyone else go faster?

Yes. If the host was modded all people would run the same speed. Currently we cannot make speed hacks for one person.

The double speed powerup has this effect. Whoever gets it runs at normal speed while everyone else slows down. If the map was modded he could have put that powerup in a hidden spot and used it. IF.

sadly thats not true
there is a speed hack that works for halo on a public non-modded server

There is actually a program out there, can't remember its name, but i remember it was used on an online game called silent death online.
It basically allowed you to turn up the speed of things being processed on a particular application. For example speed of everything for one person increased whilst others remained constant.

what if i made it so when u crouch u run fast but since everyone else doesnt have the mod on they just see it as crouching when really im sprinitng across the level?

They still see you running probably. And also the game slows u down by itself. Have u tried it?

You'd have to have crouching height at standing size...then it would be just like a run button.

lol seriously though your clanmate was probly hacking i dont trust anyone you need to examine the facts first off. how many people accused him of it
was it just some lame host or was it everyone in the server if its a lame host then most likley he didnt hack if it was everyone he DEFINATLY hacked.

unless the mod is serverside the only mod that will have an effect is a ****** mod.
