I don't have HPC (yet), thus I won't be participating in the conversion free-for-all (yet...hehe), but I think this is a completely silly idea.
No offense intended, TsukasaZero. I know you're just trying to solve a problem.
I also think it's a particularly bad idea to base this on post count. As it's been pointed out, often the people with the highest post counts (not pointing fingers) are simply obsessed with their post count and tend to contribute very little, if anything.

Conversions are just like any other mods.
People will make what they want to make and release it if they want.
Halomods isn't required to host anything, nobody is required to make the map available on their server and if people like it they'll play it.
If someone gets beat to the punch, well then, perhaps they should've done it faster...but they can still do it better.

ok now to bigger issues. has anyone converted a sbsp thats not the first on the list. i havent i get errors. i have converted d40a but when i go d40f ERROR. i have converted c10a but whn i try antoher one error. oh and when i moved spawn points on c10a and save and try to run. Bah mr. exception.

Damn it people you are ALL taking this the wrong way.

You can release your maps, i dont give a fuck. This is just a way so

A) when playing games, you dont join the wrong game.
B) Conversions wont get released (in theory) 1,000 times. That just wastes bandwidth.

Post count is the only way to group it. If i group it elsehow, the whole thing is fucked. Tell me elsehow to group it, and if i approve, i'll adapt it that way.

Yes, I do realize a10_space does take something special since it is in space.

And Xorange, size is the keyword. Anyone who wants to release maps elsehow, fine with me. Just dont waste Gren's bandwidth.

BTW, this is only if you dont want to fuck up space and gameplay. If you dont approve, oh well.

i can read buddy. but they dont have to release it. they can post pics and info. and if people like it release it. i just feel we should be able to do what we want. i understand you completely. i just dont like the claiming map idea. i think everyone will agree that new converstions shouldnt be released if theyre not worthy. i have no problems posting pics of mods.
btw. whats up with deleting all the old crap floating around the forums.

That's not what I meant at all. I meant that you may not even be able to convert it at all. I had some trouble converting it using the non-3.5 method (i had to do some extra shit). I want to know if 3.5 is even capable of converting it.

I have a suggsetion and it doesnt have anything to do with how may post people have so newbies and everyone else can release their conversions.

If this doesnt cost anything or hardly nothing for Grenadiac their should be a conversions section in files. AND everyone conversion should have the exact same poll. Such as:
1. AWESOME NEEDS TO BE HERE!
2. Its ok keep it up awhile other people may choose 1.
3. Leave it up a day then take it down.
4. Die Conversion Die Take it down NOW!

Those are a little long but you got the point. then have moderators delete the ones that are 3 & 4's and not wasting bandwith by leaving a piece of crap mod up. Maybe their needs to be more moderators to help keep the clutter down. Just my opionion!

I dotn care what yall say i have started on converting the D40 hanger. But I would like to know what happens when all of the SP maps are converted. What then? There will be different variations to the SP maps people make since HMT 3.5 has come out. I dont think that people should haft to do this so they can convert a map. I say let people convert what they want to convert and let them do there own variations of them. Let the people choose what they like and dont like.
