how to get a downloaded halo pc to work?

I downloaded halo pc off the Kazaa lite Ressurection and the filetype is .exe . When i click on it it just opens up a blank black box then closes. My freind said you have to burn the game to a cd first and do some other stuff, so I was just wondering if anybody could help me?
