in our free time in class, most of us play halo trial. recently however, the tech department has found a way, not to block halo, but to block .map files off our local drives. i found you can rename them to .anythingelse and they will copy fine, but try a .map and no dice. halo.exe however looks for .map files. anyone have any ideas on getting around this?

Why would they block the .map files but not the actual game? Just to piss everyone off?

well, they thought they had us when they blocked installation privelages, but we found you can install it to a jump drive at home and copy the files. so they disabled .map files. clever i admit.
but i guess we can drop this because the idiots didn't block write access to the c drive, so we just put it on the computers themselves. :D
