now read it.

in the book, the mc was on halo for about 78 hours... or 3 1/2 days.

the flood, which come out of the bottemless abyss,
343 guiltyspark. you keep on going down and down and down...

and in the very start of the library where they come out of the realy big hole...

the two prophets will look down...(or whutever that wAS) cortana and MC
in the longsword

the dead shall not be burried...

those who touch them are destroyed...

it goes on and on and on.

did you guys notice anything like that?

Halo does have a story behind it, in case you didn't know. Someone made this connection about MC's name and Spartan number:John 117 earlier in this forum and I was curious.

Although I haven't read it yet, it sounds like you got it down.
