Help needed with the Halo Console...

I need help with my console for my server. I have two questions. When i type sv_mapcycle_add icefields why does the error message thing come up? And another, how do I set the rcon password? If anyone could help me out thatll be great. Thanks

It wouldn't let me set up a mapcycle either, i think you have to have a dedicated server

No, a dedicated server is just something that isnt a ingame server. There are two types, dedicated and non. You can download the dedicated server installer somewhere on Halo's site.

OK, I downloaded the dedicated server and it works perfectly. I can mess with my mapcycle and pass and everything! But I have one problem. I run the dedicated server on my bros pc. And I play Halo on my pc. The two pcs are right beside each other. But the problem is that I cant seem to find the dedicated server on the ingame multiplayer game search/lookup. What is teh problem now?

You might have a firewall blocking the server
p.s. what site did you get the dedicated server from?

My fire wall is off. I made sure of that. I got it from Halo: Truth and Reconciliation.

does your brother have a firewall? and you put it on internet, not lan right?

My brother's firewall IS off. And i run it on internet.

Ok so how do I view my init.txt file? Is it the black box that appears when i start the server? Or is a a regular text file?

It is a file that is located in your Halo Dedicated server folder.

Ok... I'm all set. My dedicated server init.txt thing is set up. I have everything i want on. But one last problem. It wont show up on the lookup. Why is it like this? I mean when I start the server ingame: nondedicated, it works. But when dedicated it wont. Is this something to do with my router? And if so, what do I do to fix it?
