"Gold elites"?

I was re-reading one of the books and i noticed that it said that there was a "gold" elite and i realized that i had never seen a gold elite in the game.
I have seen green elites with swords and figured they were supposed to be gold, but i have a crappy video card, so go figure.
anyways could anyone tell me if there are gold elites so i can know for sure?

yes i have the same shitty video card problem too... but you know who are better than gold Elites? black ones... they throw grenades and they throw them good

yeah....covenant are stupid.
If all they did was have hunters try to kill you while they lob grenades, they would kill you and kill you fast

i was almost at the end of the level on legendary right at a checkpoint right before the end and an elite stuck me right then and there... i was stuck watching myself blowup every 20 seconds after i died.... and sent my worthog flying

go to the post about Halo2 and read my other strategy to kill mc with only a few weapons and you will realize just HOW stupid the covenant are...they're so stupid, they don't deserve to win

the covenant are stupid/predictable but they dont mess round when they throw the grenades. but golden elites look coolest

could someone post a pic of a gold elite...i've never seen one

Also, you could blame predictability on the AI in the game, but even in the books, the covenant fight like chickens with thier heads cut off...I always wanted to say that

yeh..it is the vid card...and call them glodeys...they are officially known as "Commando Elites.
