Halo 2 PC release Info

I been hearing that Halo 2 will not make it onto the PC platform anytime soon after its release on Xbox which I that was a real downside and the only reason it Halo came out on PC was because it was a marketing deal.

But after talking to some people I have been able to find that it will come out on PC because Unreal Turnament is coming out with a new game and Halo is in competion with that game.

I dont know if all of this is true, so what do you guys think?

Halo 2 will probably come out for the computer after it has been out for the xbox for a long time.

Yeah, but until someone from bungie/microsoft says so its a rumor.

I wouldnt go worrying about H2 for pc until after H2 for Xbox comes out.

I hope Halo2 comes out the same time on pc as it does on Xbox, but i seirously doubt it.
This doesn't have anything to do with the release date, but if Halo2 is anything like the third halo book, then it will have playable wraiths.

I dont think it is like the Thrid book because how would he now what to write if it was bassed on halo 2 since it hasn't come out yet.

I hope its all compiled the same.

Halo 2 will play after the third book.
I thought that Halo 2 PC only came out when the Xbox had less than <insert high number here> Halo 2 games sold.

it won't happeen....they need to see if it sells well if they would ever consiter making h2 for PC...but we all know it will sell good on the first day....

No. Microsoft can't compete with UT anymore. Epic has apparently decided to turn UT into a yearly franchise (ala Madden), according to the rumors on 90% of the boards, so unless M$ can make a nice game every year....no...

of course it wont. remember that it needs to be ported to the PC first? which means adapting all of the programming to the PC... H2PC wont come out until like 2 years after H2XB... as if that wasn't obvious...

Thats a good point and it makes since. I really dont want to buy an Xbox just to play halo 2 nor do I want to wait 2 years for it to release on PC if it ever does.

dont quite see why, Makayo... we were just talking about release dates and whatnot. this stuff is our future, after all...

and yeah, H2 is actually gonna get me to buy a mod chip... that'll be funny
