question about dedicated servers on halo pc

I made a dedicated server joined it for a while then left. When i left it said i was still in the game and i couldnt join any other games because it said my cd key was invalid. I had to stop the server and restart. Why did it not acknowlege that i had quit the game?

EDIT: the apparently, when some one quits the game, they need to be killed before it will acknowlege that they left. Whats up with that?

dont know might be that someone else is using your key or something

Thx for answering but no this only happens on dedicated servers and not just to me. When i host a server and some one quits, the game doesnt acknowlege that they have quit until some one kills them.

im not sure but it only happen to me when i do mods
