converting scrnshots from clipbrd to jpg or gif

anyone know how to convert the screen shots u take using the prt scrn button where they go onto the clip board, into .jpg or .gif, i tried save but they only got Nt clipboard file (.clp)
and
win 3.1 clipboard (.clp)

print scrn the pic, open paint, press Ctrl+V.
if u with to alter ur pic, do so.
Then, go to File > Save as... > and when your saving, click the dragdown box (the one right under the file name box) and choose .jpeg or .gif
Save.. and violah!

Yeah, but NT clipboard file, win 3.1 clipboard.. He's using a different system.

Yeah, same here, I think hes talking about Window 3.1... I think...

im on winxp.....windows 3.1 is like win95 i believe....
<edit> that pasting to paint worked, thnx a lot
