I think Bungie just screwed up. If the POA's reactors could blow that huge chunk of Halo apart than I'm sure sarge would have gotten t3h vaporized.

JUST frickan dawned on me.

Right before Halo explodes, just as Johnson and the Elite were hugging each other, they were beamed aboard a Covenant ship. The reason Cortana didn't pick them up is because the plating of the Covenant ship reflected the sensor beams back, making it appear that the Covenant ship wasn't there. How he got out is beyond me.

Okay read the halo book a NEW HOPE by Eric Nylund it explains like everything so base your thoughts around that.

i think he might have found a ship or somthing and barely escaped other then that hes either got a clone or has just been found floating around in space and got resurected

acording to the book, wasnt there other spartans found in cryotubes in the debris of halo 1? or was that near reach? i think johnson was there too, and a bunch of covie ships. then they went back to reach, where a handfull of spartans were still alive because they didnt glass the whole planet.i think thats why the mc never asks how johson survived because he was there, if you read the books.

if you read first strike he has a desies from carrieing plasma grenades wich alowed him to be invunarable to the flood, i dont remember how he got off halo but he was partialy taken over by the flood as shown by a dna scan

WOW. I cant beleave only ONE person here read the Halo Books.
HE got off halo from another pelican.

That pelican had and Officer from ONI (Office of Naval Intelligence), an ODST, and a Pelican Pilot.

As for the LEgendary Ending, that isnt part of the story, its just there to be funny.

Thank you, finally other people who have read the books! You know the Halo books are pretty good reading, if your a hardcore fan its a must. Although I personally prefer the ones written by Eric Nylund (Fall of Reach, and First Strike)
