ok i try to rebuild a map bloodgulch.map to be exact & this is what i do....
i open the map in hmt then batch extract the metadata to a new folder (i have tryed to extract everything also) and then i copy my bloodculch.map (i renamed it from cache003.map) to that folder and then go to rebuild then open the map then click yes for auto fill fields and click BUILD and it freezes for like 5 seconds and then a error comes up and says...

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just in time (JIT) debugging, the config file for this
application or machine (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the machine
rather than being handled by this dialog.

Map rebuilding does not work on Xbox maps. Period.
We all wish it would....but alas, it does not. :(

All they did (it's actually quite easy) is basically take out the bsp, you can do this by nulling out the coll model, and bringing the polly count of the level to 0.
