Halo 1 Archive Project

Post by Snave »

Hey guys.. Over the coming weeks i hope to amass a collection of maps/mods/map packs for halo 1, and archive them on my personal website for preservation that the public will be able to access and see pictures/descriptions and of course download. I'll be starting off with xbox mods, but soon after i have finished i shall do the same thing for CE/PC.

What i want to achieve is a really large collection of excellent mods that showcase what the community has achieved in the past. All downloads will have pictures, descriptions along with information on when created and how to use/apply the mod. I noticed alot of the downloads for old mods were leading to websites that don't even exsist anymore, plus map packs that aren't hosted anymore (exlcluding game-gateway.com of course, good job so far guys).

So if you have any old mods laying around that aren't hosted anywhere else anymore, let me know and i'll set up a temporary ftp space for you to upload the files.

PS, the map packs can be found here

Seeing this just makes me want to work on my website again...

This is exactly what I was aiming for with game-gateway... and... well it didn't turn out so well for me because I used PHPNuke and too many hackers know that stuff too well.

Snave if you wanna work with me to get Game-Gateway back up (since the name of the site is already recognized by the community) I'd be glad to work with you on it.

Does any one have The Swamp Fox's The grid map? I remember playing it a while back and would love to play it again. The link for it is dead and i didnt want to bump the topic from two or so years ago.

fix the outline of the site so that the download is in the same "slot" (between the 2 lines) as the map....
