Changing aimers

I wanna kno how you can change the aimer on weapons. Like in side evolve 3.0. I wanna make it so it say press x to pick up and the picture of a pistol but the weapon is assault rifle. If you play side evolve 3 u would kno wut i'm talking about. I would really like to kno how you are able to swap the weapon aimer.

the interface? I kno it has to do something to do with the reticles but u can't really pick each weapon reticles.
Damn i thought i would get a decent answer for once.
