editing words

i was playing this mod when i went to enter a warthog it enter driver side of Puma. Now i was wondering how to do that. Another part of this mod was when i picked up the rocket launcher it said picked up a Boom Stick. How would i edit these words?

they're strings.. you open the map file with a hex editor and seaqrch for the string that you want, only thing is you have to search using UNICODE... its probably an option in the hex editor

A simple way to do it is:
1. Open up Blood Gulch in your hex editor
2. Press CTRL+F
3. Where it says ASCII (If it does) type in Warthog or somthing)
4. Change it
Or if you want to change the word strings like "You were killed by ______" the get HXH or something rather... I think I have it... So i can send it to you... I think

That is so SWEAT that you can just change the string variables in halo like that. It reminds you of how similar halo is to just a normal program while still being the sweatest game out!!!

I've allways said "sweat" but now a days i realy actually say "SHWAT" Its my new word. Do you like it!

Yeah But My Pal 1 comes up with about 50 warthg findings which 1 do i change
