How would I put two kinds of warthog in the same level?

I have made two bg caches with a different warthog setup in each: one has a desert skin with a beefed up chaingun; the other has the firehog skin and a rocket cannon. I want to put both vehicles in the same blood gulch cache, by replacing. I have done some searching but what i have found hasnt been overly helpful, as tutorials talk generally about scenery injections. Is the process the same for vehicle injections or more complex? Any help would be most appreciated.

I think you could replace the Tank or ghost with one.

^No^, i think that the only way to do this is by adding a vehicle like this
http://files.halomods.com/viewtopic.php?t=14965
and then after you add a vehicle as a scenary form SE, do a rebuild and add another of the same vehicle and then it will end up being under the tag of a vehicle, then just swap with another vehicle...

yeah, but he is sayin two differnt setups of the same vehicle. If he does what you say, hell get more warthogs in the lvl, but they will all be the same. SO what i said was to try and make one of the hogs a scenary tag, which is different from a vehicle tag and it might do the trick...

Thanks for the info!
Ok i did the first bit, but when I use SparkEdit, it freezes. I'll have to find out what i did to muck Sparkedit up (had it going before). Until then is there an alternative way to do this using HHT or something else?

ok idk if someone already explained it to you
copy the [vehi] vehicles\warthog\warthog inject it in to the eof (add the tag) or do it the old fashioned way. rename it to vehicles\warthog\puma (or what ever)
now if you want that warthog to have a different model you have to inject another [mode] vehicles\warthog\warthog (extract the model with HMT 3.5 (near bottom right) dont extract the meta with HMT 3.5 (will come out as .obj), and the [mode] vehicles\warthog\warthog META with HHT v4.
inject the [mode] META and name it vehicles\warthog\puma (or whatever you want to name it) with HHT v4. use milkshape / 3ds max / whatever you use to modify the models (dont forget the LOD's (levels of detail) reinject the MODEL (.obj) with HMT 3.5 (again, near bottom right)
with HHT v4 change the depdency's (right side) of the puma's mode, click on the puma's DEPENDENCY MODE and change it to vehicles\warthog\puma

Thank you mrpenguin! That was just what i needed to know. Now all i need is to trial and error injecting the second warthog over the ghost locations. I just hope there is enough space in the file so i dont break the 47MB cache limit...

When I try to inject the models in HMT 3.5, clicking on the tag that I created in HHT4 gives an error about the pointer being moved before the beginning of the file or something. Does anyone knows what causes this or how to get around it?
