How to edit active camouflage??

I know this is probably a really big noobish question, but it doesn't matter cause I'm kinda a noob at this. Anyways, I was wondering how do you edit the color of the active camofoulage? I'm tryin' to make it neon green or somthing so I can see my opponents a little easier :D . I wouldn't have posted a new topic if i had found something on this, but I've looked everywhere on these forums and can't find anything about this. And I've tried going in HMT and editing the active camouflage distortion, but that just makes it one solid color when it's over somthing, like if your over the brown ground, you'll be solid brown. I want it so you can see through them, but just a different color. If one of you guys could reply to this, and either send me in the right direction or figure this out it'd be great.

(i'm guessing your using photoshop? If you aren't this won't help)

There are many different ways of colouring images, here are 4 of my favourite ways.

A: A new adjustment layer would be your best bet.
Press the little [ Image ] button in your layers pallet and choose Hue/Saturation. In the new window that pops up check off the Colorize box and start fooling around with the first two sliders.

Don't add too much saturation or it will get blochy, and if you add too little it will be grayscale.

B: Your second option would be a Color Balance Adjustment Layer.

Do the same thing as step one but this time chose Color Balance
Fool around with all 3 sliders in midtons, shadows and highlights!

C: (Easiest way to do this) Make a new layer above the layers you wish to colour and fill this with a nice colour (such as blue). Now set the Layer Blending Mode (which is set at Normal by default) to Hue. If the layers underneath it aren't black and white, this will add colour to your image.

D: One last option.
Create a new layer and fill it with a very dull and fair colour (meaning its almost gray) and change the mode to Color. Fool around with the colours here

Thanx, but is the active camouflage distortion bitmap the right one to use to change it tho?

Well, i misunderstood what you meant. So i doubt my technique would work, unless you actually know where to find the active camo thing and what to do for changing its colour

Sorry, my way is just how to colour an image in photoshop...

Man, i need more sleep

u know what i think u cant change it beacause all it does is turns down the opacity or the character u might be able to change it with gurillah though..

Well, might I ask what gurillah is and where I can find it at?

actually on better graphics cards (like mine) it makes the character look like glass.
i will edit with a screenshot in a few mins
edit: the pic on the far right has colour still in it, this is because i shot a bullet and it made me visible again

Yes, i know it makes you look kinda like glass(little more like water...) cause i have a video card that can handle it (RADEON 9600 XT from ATI). But what I'm going for is a color kinda like the teleporter. More like a see thru greenish color, so the invisible people will stick out a little more. So does anyone have any ideas on this?

EDIT: Look, I'm just trying to find the right bitmap to edit, or maybe just the right number to modify. And maybe it's not even a bitmap that I need to modify....I'm just trying to figure out what i need to mess with to change the way the active camouflage looks. So can someone help me out, give me any ideas, I don't care if you think your idea sounds stupid, post it, I'll try it.

I've already tried the distortion bitmap tho. They just don't stand out enough. Sure you'll be able to see them easier, but i want to be able to spot them from accross the map.

personally i think your rubbish at halo if you care so hard about getting active cammo not to work.
swap the shader with something like teleporter.

What do you mean by rubbish? If your saying I'm a noob that's not the case, I just like to have the advantage :D . I've had this game since the day it came out for the xbox, and I can spot the active camo, it's just that I want to have a little bit of an edge against the people who have bad graphics cards.
