Pistol Model (P22)

Post by Plank755 »

A model I made to practice. I think it looks pretty good.
I've seen the error by the handle, and I no the hammer isn't smooth enough. Like I said this was a practice. Constructive criticism accepted. PM me if you would like the model.
Made in Hexagon 2.5
Rendered in 3ds Max

I'd say nice work overall on the gun :) .

Some smoothing errors, and the cocking mechanism needs smoothing. I don't know the gun, but the trigger guard looks a bit thin.

That looks like something which I would consider using in a game. Consider that a compliment, but not in modelling terms, because I like chunky weapons. :P
For anybody still wondering where FTD has gone, here it is.

THe Trigger looks too smooth, dont blend the edges maybe?

And then what you pointed out.

There appear to be two errors (maybe?) in the handle, one by trigger and one in the first picture, about 2/3 down on the very back.

Besides that, it's beautiful. Do a bit more on the top, like the ridges. Little details like that.

The area where the grip meets the trigger guard is horrid.

I remember when I modeled that gun, fun model.

Looks fairly accurate, some inconsistencies here and there, as well as others have said, the transition from grip to trigger guard could use a lot of work.
