WIP - C7 Assault Rifle

Post by Malolo420 »

First weapon I actually took the time to do and didn't get lazy with.

Its not perfect, had a pretty bad reference pic and couldn't find a better one.

It has 4460 faces, 2198 pollies.

if you couldn't find any good references of this AR, you need to learn how to google better. lots of detail, but VERY inaccurate, and a big waste of polies.

Dude. No. Do you even know who Katarn and Snaf are? They are some of the few 1337est modelers that have ever set foot in CE. =D

I went to page 5 on google then gave up. I found ones that were similar but not the same.

And about the waste of pollies, I'm guessing I should of made the barrels and crap less round?

There are still many parts that are the same as an m4 or m16 that you could have looked at to fix yours. And sometimes it takes more then going to page 5 on google of one image search. Try mixing up words. And not just images, search on regular, there's sometimes sites that contain great referance pictures. Right now, yours is too inaccurate that I even want to point it all out. I really think you should start over, and maybe try an M4 before you try this again.

Well this is the C7 (Diemaco-made M16s) used by the Canadian Forces. almost a perfect replica of M16 except some mechanism. One thing you notably forgot, however, is that the C7 ships with a 1.5Scope to replace the Carry handle in most cases.

some great referance of the elcan usually found on the C7.

And an alright picture that you should be able to use to get some more detail

for civilian use maybe, military weapons don't "ship" with anything expect its basic necessities.

and google images is not always your best choice, use web search as well. also don't just look at the image when you click the image link, look at the entire web page and it may have something you're looking for

Its missing detail, and the gun doesnt look the same on both sides. Also, the proportions are off. You obviously know what you are doing, so some good reference pictures, and some more work, and you should be able to spit out some decent models.[/quote]

I had that second picture that you showed Leiuk but its designed differently, I also did use normal search and this was the best I could find

But I'll try making a M4 like you said.

And I'll try looking at the M16.
