The Boolean Operator

I don't think the boolean operator likes me very much :?

I have an object, and I have already booleaned once from it. Now, later into my model, I have to do it again, but it keeps spazzing out and adding like 100 new polygons around the new booleaned area.

Is there a way to prevent this? If not, is there a way to merge the polygons and turn them into one face?

Thanks,
Doc

simple...don't use boolean. it causes quite a mess. best thing to do, delete faces, place new verts, and make new faces

Select some vertices, hold shift and move them and it will duplicate them.
Should work in gmax too.

Create a shape identical to what you want, move it to the right place, delete faces then reface the whole lot.

Hmm... a little more explanation please? I'm still quote a novice, and I don't fully understand this.

Thanks,

i think wat he means is, create a primitive to wat u were gonna booleon, but this time, instead of booleoning delete the face where the booleon was gonna be creat vertices around the primitive and at the base of it or howeve far down u want, then re creat the face around the top, then around the inside, then the bottom, and ur done (that as a bit rusty, but meh is should be good enough i hope :P)
