How would one go about selecting specific edges (e.g. edge #328 or #1905) in 3DS Max?

If you compiled a map and got errors, import the WRL with your map's name into your map's MAX file. Red lines will appear where the errors are

WRL?

Come again?

And Import with my map?

Ok.. not sure how but I will try.

Edit:

Did that but when I do I get a dialog box saying:

_
|_| Reset scene
_
|_| Turn to 3DS coordinates
_
|_| Create primitives

And they are all checked. So, which ones should I check\uncheck?

Note: I did clicked ok and all I got was a rectangle in my viewport and had to reopen the .max file.

BTW, thanks for responding so quickly.

uncheck them all and lines will appear where you're edges suck

I should import this .wrl when I am in:

a) object selection mode (selecting the entire skybox)
b) Editable Mesh mode -> edge selection
c) none of the above (please specify)

Once I imported the .wrl file all I get is this rectangle with some of its edges painted some color, but I cannot see any highlighted edges on my map.

If it helps this is the error:

### ERROR couldn't update edge # (red).

Edit:

Also, does anybody know how to weld/combine edges?
