HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

Is it possible to make or change maps without using the Halo Editing Kit because i dont have the right things for it like 3Ds Max? I just started to mod and I've been using the Halo Map Tools and the halo hacking tools.
Can someone please reply to this and tell me where to get 3Ds Max if you need it to chage or make maps.

can some one help me create my own avatar thing cause i dont know how to do that either.

PM me with what you want on ur avatar I can try to make one if you want. Also tell me if you want it abstract (like my sig I have now) grungey, tech, or whatever you want. I don't like to put ppl into sigs/avatars, but I can make some pretty cool backrounds.

Anyways, you either use the HEK or don't edit Halo CE as of right now... Unless a very nice person will give you their scenario files. Anyways, there is a new thing coming out by Grenadiac, MonoxideC, ViperNeo, kornman00, N-, CLuis, JamesD and Aztec called Prometheus.
This is gonna be just like the HEK, except all the programs put together into one, and very easy to use. You will also be able to make custom PC maps in this programs.

A $3000 alternative to Gmax is 3ds max. Or you can get the trial, or you can get a student license. Studebt lisences are about $200, you have to get ur preincipal to sign something, and the lisence expires after 1 year

What thing do u use for making your signature

I use a couple of things: Photoshop7, Paintshop Pro, and sometimes I use Fireworks MX 2004, or even 3ds max. I use flash MX 2004 to make animated ones too
