You've had two years working on this....could have made halo 2 in that time.

Making a game and making an extremely detailed map are two different things. . .

Halo 2 had a team working on it.
This is One person. I doubt his main priority is to finish a map.

I actually can't wait to play this. Its so...Detailed.

I don't understand why people are so impatient. Sure the map has been in development for 2 years, but:

1) He's working alone.
2) It's probably not his highest priority.
3) He's making it as highly detailed as possible.

So get some more patience and wait. The better the level gets and the more updates, the more patient I get because I know all the patience will be paid off in due time.

my only concern is that it will be released when its too late when everyones cleared off and started modding halo 2 vista.

i was looking though here and first of all your avi scares me and secondly, the first picture of this place looked like a church but then you started adding in some of the bitmaps or bumpmaps or whatever you want to call it and it started to look like some weird cult place. dont get me wrong it looks amazing, and people can agree it looks better than some halo maps made by the people that made halo!! but the name "church" does not suffice for the map

They posted earlier that it would take sometime until he designed the next part... so it's pretty far from alpha and beta testing it will require for release ;) suffice to say it's a graphical masterpiece..

Ran into some trouble, Max corrupted the latest version of the .bsp and four (!) of the backups. I managed to get it working again though and there'll be an update with pics in the next couple of days.

The error sucks, but it's good news that you go them open.

Here's the basement level still being worked on. It's symmetrical with a central chamber (pics of that soon).
