Hello

Finish a new model/mesh? Got something you're working on? Finish a new map? Here's the place to post it for feedback and whatnot.

Hello

Post by Govo »

Hello everyone,

I registered to the forums yesterday so I thought it would be nice to say hello :)
My name is Govo and I'm from Holland. I've read some pages about modding and modeling for Halo, and downloaded GMAX and all.
Below is a screenshot of my first attempt at making a "halo" model.

It's about 600 polys, but I didn't do anything to reduce them.

Great forums and great site, keep it up :)

For now, bye!

Very nice models, and a reasonable polycount to start off with. Good job!

Very nice Govo. Is this your first model, or your first Halo model? Also, how long did they take you?

Thanks =D

It's my first Halo model, I've made other models before =)

They took me about 15 minutes each

Here's my newest, which took me about 30 minutes.

he will get better, as will all, as i now kno that my snap to grid just doesnt work (oh well) im very fast with 3ds max.. since there is no bumpmapping (that i can tell) the models here are quite easy to make (no offense.. im just about to complement u tho.. :) ) but to make a model, it takes a creative mind (not in a bad way..) and i presume, that withen in a month or two, govo will be able to do these models, in a matter of 3:47 (just under 4 minutes) as i tomed my self with his first one, unfortunatly im having trouble finding my photoshop disc, so i cant make u a good looking pictures (using the printscreen method) and show you what his models look like after 10 minutes of bumpmapping effects, and some detailed lighting... not long though
