Well, as hell may have it, i have another model. I seem to label all of these with the prefix "WIP" yet i dont seem to ever work on them again unless it is to change a few minor skin problems or lower polys.

This model is a machine pistol. As you may have noticed, it has the same icon on the handle as so did my pistol. This is the Red Faction Symbol.

I only have on render because i put 3 lights in (for the hell of it) and it madethe renders take about 30minutes each. So i have one lol.

Here it is, if you want more, you sure as hell better beg me because they take a while....i'm thinking on one render with everythin i have ever made in it...weapons that is.

What modeling technique did you use to make this?

uhh? okay? lol

i use a series of techniques. sometimes i plane model. sometimes i begin with plain modeling then go off an do my own thing. sometimes i just invent from my head. the majority of the red faction weapons i plane model because it is difficult to fit the skin on if i don't.

i'll have to get the .max files ready then .rar them, i'll let you know when their ready (((right now i'm righting up a report for english...well, am supposed to be)))

ok. And don't call it a skin, it's not a skin. You UVed on a reference picture. A skin isn't misaligned, and you can create it any way you like. Skins are made on UVW maps, not UV'ed onto the side of a gun.

i call the think on the gun a texture or skin, what else can it be called?

I only do mapping (my main thingy beside sigs and basketball and football)

i wanan learn to make a nice render so i can put all my weapons models into a scene (even ones i have not shown the public (yay))
