[WIP] Goldeneye Facility
srry for double post, but fewer people would read it if I just edited it in.
I got the laptops. One is a Dell Latitude, the other a Toshiba Satellite
I was wrong about their processors
One is a P3m(the dell)
The other, a P1(the toshiba)
The P3 is faster than my desktop P3
but it's graphics are worse(as in Halo-Will-Only-Run-At-640x480-with-no-reflections/specular-whatsoever worse)
It will be able to run 3dsmax
However, I won't be able to test any specular/reflective properties on textures i make while on it
my uncle forgot to send me the wireless card with it (or maybe he kept it for himself
)
the hard drive is 10gb
it only has 1 USB port
256 MB ram
I shouldn't complain though. I got them for free 
BTW, I should have an updated blueprint to post later tonight, or tomorrow.

WOW.
can't wait to see this one in action, glad to see it's true to the original level design too, even in detail. any word on custom material getting in-game? (sory if it's listed in the earlier pages, i haven't read all of them)
btw, congrats on the 2 free laptops. i wish i was as lucky, i'd at least have something to carry around and screw with wireless networks. *prays for a laptop*

ASPARTAME: in your diet soda and artificial sweeteners. also, it's obviously completely safe. it's not like it will cause tumors or anything. >.>

there are 7 toilets, if I remember correctly, and 11 if you count the urinals. That's a lot of combinations. 
Maybe it will make it possible to get the c4 plastique...I'd have to give the blue team their own equivilant. Maybe if you destroy the gas tanks in the right order or something.
I know. I'll make it so after flushing each toilet, you have to wait a minute or so before the others toilets are flushable. That way, once the code is discovered, people won't be entering it within the first few minutes of the game. Or maybe the code will have to be entered half on the toilets, half on the gas tanks in the last room.
Then again, maybe I would use trigger volumes, and you have to have 4 people stand in the right spots throughout the level. Perhaps in the same places as soviet soldiers were found in Goldeneye.
Or maybe a combination of all the above.

and it all must be done within 5 minutes

Of course, this is all speculation, I don't have much scripting experience, but I doubt it will be hard at all to learn what I need to know.
Is it possible to make a weapon spawn using a script? If not I suppose I could just make a piece of scenery that blocks access to the weapon and would be destroyed when the right combination was entered.
I definitely want to include the c4 plastique(not as a starting weapon)...Just imagine planting a 1 minute one on the oddball.

As for the gas tanks, I might have them just explode a bit(2 nades worth mebe?). It'd be kinda unfair if it did too much damage, since there is no equivilant in the opposite base. Then again, I'm not making this level with ctf in mind as much as Oddball and King. It would be an interesting twist for the hill to be in a room that slowly kills you. But I'm not even sure if that can be done via scripts. I know you can make a volume that kills you instantly, but I dont know about one that slowly takes health away...unless...
I KNOW!!! Invisible silent flood infection AIs that can be spawned when tanks are destroyed! After a few minutes, the gas would dissipate(ai_erase_all)
