Not sure if this is the right forum but is there any easier way of selecting what you want, im trying to get everything but the background in this one picture and theres always bits of white around it

Look at the lasso tool. Left click and hold, then click on the poly. lasso.
If it the render has a completely white background, however, just do a magic wand and select inverse to get the picture.
Note .: If there is a faint white outline around the wanded picture, just do a magic wand without selecting inverse, and press the delete key. Repeat until it isn't visible.

Woops...was thinking of the wrong program. I can't read abbreviations, I thought you meant Photoshop 7.0.
