i'm still continueing my little project

i'm nearing completion more every day, half way now, right now i'm putting stuff in, in sapien

features

-nothing special really just replacing things like
-mega health -> overshield
-redeemer -> rocket launcher (no fuelrod)
-enforcer -> pistol
-flak cannon -> shotgun
-pusle gun (green thingies) -> Assault Rifle
-sniper -> sniper
-it will be a NO vehicle map it's just to small for that and destroys the real fun, however in other gametypes such as slayer will be vehicles
-These also will be the weapons used in the level

edit, here is an ingame pic, its coming along nicely but my vidcard sucks so textures are probably bad

I can give you feedback :D That looks pretty good! EDIT: Sorry I didnt read your post, just looked at the pics. It looks awesome so far. I think the exterior is almost done. Lets see some updates on the interior though!

for the interior part, i always have trouble with it, and i cant find the right pics of the interioir to rebuild it, also i have started on the redeemer place almost finished now

i also haven't got UT anymore so if anyone could help me with the pics that would be great

edit: BTW i also still need a couple of beta testers when its nearing completion ( middle sniper spot finished also see 2 new screens)

yet another render, this time i added the main entrance and got rid of some base-bodyfat, about 500 faces :D

ok, i had to replace all images because lycos (i think) deleted my acount or sumthing


well progress so far:
interior almost modeled
both bases are there
i managed to copy the textures from UT

to do list:
convert pcx files to tiff files
create bitmaps for tiff files
create shaders for bitmaps
add/aply textures in 3dsmax
and when that is done, i have to do a radiosity_quality 1
add population in sapien
and then it's done, but before that i'm going to release a beta/final

oh and change the sky ofcourse :p

Maybe you could team up with the people doing the UT weapons. Although that would be a little pointless to play UT maps with near-UT weapons when you could just play UT.

i also had the idea when i saw the topic on GBX but there 2003/2004 weapons and vehicles so that's not very helpfull

and btw i like the halo weapons, but maybe, and maybe in an maybe update, but remember it might just be not aswell :p, i wanna treat you with some new ingame textures but they don't work, there just grey so i'm gonna fix those

and 1 question where can i edit the mc's speed and stuff?

That is an awsome map! The buildings just look so... menacing, it's awsome, somewhat creepy! I definitely like it, at least for my sake keep working on it, i would dl it.

By the way, how long did it take you to Radiosity your level in Sapien? I have a map that seems like it's going to take days...

well if i set the quality to zero it takes about 10 to 15 minutes on my pc :oops: and to be honest quality 1 is to big for my pc i think

intel 2400 @ 2800 mhz no HT
512 pc2700 internal memory
and a full hd of 80 gig

so that is minimum, but it'll manage

and yes i'm quite proud at the buildings, spend alot of time in them to make them almost exactly as in unreal tournament

and a beta is coming, as soon as i figure out those damn teleporters

i was going to do face as well
but meh i had the bases done and was going to add them them as scenery.tag but than i saw someone "beat" me to it i think both of us could hav done a better job
