EDIT* On second thought, I have the next 3 days off from work. Tomorrow i'll see what's going on after I have classes till 2. I'll post an update. Wednesday possibly for a little bit. And Thursday I have classes at the same time as Tuesday so if anything i'll be on around three ish. If anybody shows interest, i'll keep you guys updated.

I had an idear.

What aboot having a forum emblem for participating in the last Game Day and winning?
We'd have to come up with a way of keeping teams and balancing them, but I thought it'd be neat to be all, "Yeah, I whooped yo arse and I got a shiny.gif to prove it."

Edit: Also, it'd be super nice to get like a four-five day notice on these things.
I want to be in on 'em, but I need a heads-up so I can plan accordingly.

Disagree. Skills in your video game shouldn't be so much awarded as the participation. I think there should just be an emblem for casually participating, with no chevrons.

I do not support an emblem just for playing a game with other members. No point in it, it's not an accomplishment to log on and play Halo 3. Winning might be fine, but just participating doesn't warrant an emblem.

I completely agree and I apologize for the short notice. I only posted that on short notice because it came to mind at that exact time. It would be great for you to join, if not it's all good. I/we'll see you on sometime soon!

We also have an emblem for SOTW and MOTM. MOTM I can understand, but SOTW is almost no different than HMCGD (HaloMods Community Game Day). However, instead of giving an emblem to the winner, give one to active participants and those loyal to the series. That would be more true to the emblem nature.

All except one emblem are given for accomplishments or otherwise something in which to take pride, winning SOTW is an accomplishment, playing a game of Halo 3 is not. It is an emblem virtually every member of the site with Halo 3 could get. It would have no point, and it would be obscenely easy to get. Want a free emblem? Play Halo 3. There is no need for such an emblem, and it would be so horribly wide-spread that it would serve absolutely no purpose in the scope of emblems.

SOTW is nothing, at all, like these, by the way. That is a competition and an emblem is given to the winner, which is the opposite of what you're saying. It would be the same if everyone who entered SOTW got the emblem, which does not happen, and thus makes the two situation entirely different.

See for me Halomods Game Day is more of a having fun thing, then a winning thing. Participating alot and being what makes the activity fun is more rewarding than winning a game to me.. SOTW is made as a competition, Game day is more of a get together to have some fun. I don't think all of us were serious while playing, just having fun, especially with the Green team..

I'm not saying you play once and get in it, but I'm saying being an active participant who adds to the whole thing and makes a difference would be great.

No. I organized HaloMods Community Game Day simply to promote site activity and to bring together all of the established members while also bringing newer members into the mix.

Holy eff... I didn't want this to go nuts.
I was only suggesting something to recognize those that come and add something to the Game Day, like Detox and Shout were saying.
The whole idea that "everyone on the site" could get one is bogus... if they really just want emblems, there are easier things to do than playing with us with heart.

I think Tural doesn't like the idear 'cause he knows he can't win at Halo 3. ;o

If this is something that bugs you so much, just never mind it.
mb I'll just make a sig consisting of all the super duper medals I got and names of people I killed during the next HMCGD (noice acronym btw Shout).
Too bad all that awesomeness won't fit in 500x120.

Any thoughts of when the next one will be Ravn? Or are you thinking of passing the organization part of it around with other members?
